So you just clicked a button that says “I’m not ok” so this means you are struggling…can I tell you a secret?  We all are.  Even those of us who go to church have challenges, hurts, and issues.  Is that a new thought for you today?  Are church people perfect in your eyes?  Should they be?  The reality is that we ALL are in need of a Savior.  We ALL sin.  We ALL mess up.  We ALL need Jesus! This is why the Bible says:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God NIV

Now some of us may look like we have it all together but that’s just because some of us are better at faking it than others.  We ALL are in desperate need of love, of grace, and of forgiveness.  Often times things go a little sideways in a church setting when we forget what Romans 3:23 says.  So we are clear…we ALL need Jesus.  Did I say that yet?  Do you want to know the best part?  Because of God’s amazing love for us we have the love, the grace, and the Savior we need…ALL of us.

Romans 3:23 Since we’ve compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, 24 God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ.25 God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin. Having faith in him sets us in the clear. God decided on this course of action in full view of the public — to set the world in the clear with himself through the sacrifice of Jesus, finally taking care of the sins he had so patiently endured. 26 This is not only clear, but it’s now — this is current history! God sets things right. He also makes it possible for us to live in his rightness. MSG

Listen it’s okay to not be okay, but it is also okay to do something about it and the beauty of Jesus is that all you need to do is believe in Him, trust Him, and follow Him and He actually does the rest.  This is the true beauty of what we believe:

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.  NIV

Here at MRC you will not find perfect people, but you will find people who are finding the very thing you are looking for, and they are finding it in a personal relationship with Jesus.  This is what it’s all about…and it’s what we invite you into.  We want to give you the time, the space, and a safe place to learn, to grow, to heal, and to experience God’s grace in a very real way.  Everything comes down to Jesus, and everything we do will point you to Him!  Not to who was preaching, not to our musicians, videos or lights…but to Him.

So come and rest in a safe place built for you.  Come and experience God’s amazing love for you.  Come and learn what it means to stand in your true self and when you are ready, you can help someone else who is not okay right now experience the love of Jesus as you will and are!

So what does a relationship with Jesus looks like?  The one thing that is very important to us at MRC is that you are doing something!  A relationship with Jesus isn’t showing up to church on a Sunday morning…it’s more than that.  It’s real.  It’s about a life change and as you will hear often around here, life change is when things get fun!  Here’s an idea of what we expect from you here at MRC!
