What is the greatest thing you can do?

It’s true.  It’s that simple: Love.  That’s what Jesus meant when He said ‘grow up’ and ‘live out your God created identity.’  The apostle Paul even said in 1 Corinthians 13:3 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do,     I'm  bankrupt without love.   Love is everything.  Practically at MRC, we ask people to do the following.

Love God by doing what Jesus taught: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won't be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.  - Jesus Matthew 6:6  The accountability question: when was the last time you got away from all distractions, focused on God and didn’t move until you sense His grace?

Love Others by doing what Paul taught: Strength is for service, not status.  Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, "How can I help?"  That's exactly what Jesus did. He didn't make     it easy for himself by avoiding people's troubles, but waded right in and helped out.  - Paul Romans 15:1-3  The accountability questions: assuming you have healthy boundaries to protect the health of your heart, what are you doing to help others get ahead in life?

Love Growing by doing what Paul taught: No prolonged infancies among us, please. We'll not tolerate babes in the woods, small children who are an easy mark for impostors.  God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love - like Christ in everything. - Paul Ephesians 4:14-15  The accountability question: what book are you reading and what are you learning?
