Where is MRC heading?

Short Term Focus [1-2 years]

Our immediate challenge is to prepare our leadership structure to lead MRC well today and tomorrow.  To begin this  process, we have created a mission called: ‘Confront Reality.’  The focus of this mission is to address three key areas.  Identify a leader for each area, building a team around that leader and communicate-communicate-communicate.  We are moving from a few individuals leading MRC to teams of people leading MRC which means our future success hinges on us completing this mission.

Mid Term Focus [3-5 years]

The possibility of building on Big Dam Road is no longer a dream, it’s a reality.  That’s why we have initiated the Capital Gifts Campaign, site work to be completed by Alpha Engineering and entered into the mortgage approval process through the BIC Foundation.  For detailed information on this project, please ask for or grab the packet     called ‘Action Pack.’  This building will be important, not for us, but in our mission of reaching people.  The building is not our mission, it’s actually a simple tool to be better at accomplishing our mission of reaching people and helping them find and fulfill God’s plan for their lives.

Long Term Focus [5 plus years]

What is the best way to reach people?  New churches.  It’s called church planting.  That is what MRC is, a church plant from Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ.  With leadership, land, building, people, we have the opportunity to take our message out to Gettysburg, Abbottstown, West York, Littlestown, Shrewsbury.  If you look at these towns on a map, they are all within [approximately] 10 miles of each other. Why is this important?  Because we can create a network of MRC spots that is within 5 miles of every home from Dillsburg to the Maryland border.
