This past month, the school board approved our request to continue to meet at the Northern Middle School for another year.  This gives MRC one more year to continue to meet and prepare for construction.  Here is the construction update.

First, the permits that we need to build.  Unfortunately, Frank Lentz was laid off from Alpha Engineering.  Rick Castranio, his immediate boss, and I have spoken often.  Rick’s last email to me read, “We are on track for Township submission on September 29^th.  Currently I am working on the storm water management calculations to meet state and local requirements.  I will try to have something for you to review early next week.”  The next important date on our calendar is October 13^th.  That’s when we meet the Washington Township Board to present our drawingsqwp[.

Secondly, as for a builder, we met with Premier Construction in Dillsburg.  They reviewed our plans and will be submitting an estimate for construction.  I have been in contact with COR and they are fully aware that we are getting other estimates.

Financially, as of the end of August, MRC has saved $153,000 in our building fund.  This is great news because we are right on schedule, actually a little ahead, with giving.
